It has been a Busy Week…

This week has been a busy one! All the while though it has been a great and fun week. We were able to accomplish two big things this week and we are going to do another one this upcoming week.

First, I was also able to help Bro. Bezet make a new website for the church. That has been a great experience. On the way back from Bro. Jared Deckers Church, after learning a few graphic design tips from him, We were traveling in the car and I told my dad I think website design is something I might like to learn, but wasnt really sure if it would even be worth all the time to learn. Since in PNG there really is no need for a website in the jungles. I told my dad that if God would allow me I would enjoy the chance to learn about making websites. That was kind of that in my mind. Well we got to the Hermance’s house, in Baytown, and the next day Bro. Hermance comes home from work and says, “Alright Drew I need your help on this website.” He knew that I help to make graphics for our website but he didn’t know that I really didn’t know how to make one.  As I walked over to the computer I was thinking okay I guess all give this a shot. Needless to say I have been working the past few days on the website and it is almost done. It has been a fun experience to learn and hopefully I can use it to help other people also. If you would like to look at the website it is… www.vbcbaytown.org… There are a few things I need to work on but it is almost finished.

The Second thing we have been working on is Pastor and Mrs. Libby Bezet’s 21st Anniversary Sunday. If you know the Bezets they are truly servants. Mrs. Libby has had health problems for the past few years and yet she faithfully plays piano every Sunday. So the Hermances, the Landers (another family in the church), and us wanted to do something big for them. So we have bee nspending the past few days gathering decorations, getting things ready to make a balloon arch, putting together a scrapbook, making baskets for guest, and many other things. It was worth it though when on Sunday we were able to see the Bezet’s faces. They are great examples of what a Christian should be.

The next thing we are working on this week, is decorating for Victory Baptist Church’s Valentine Banquet. That should be fairly simple after what we did on Sunday. But we are glad that we are able to help out in any way we can.

Intelligent people have more zinc and copper in their hair

This one was pretty funny. As I came across this one I look over at Beth and asked her, ” Do you have alot of zinc and copper in your hair?” She looked at me and said, “No.” almost as if I was weird than she asked me why. Needless to say she suddenly changed her mind and told me her hair has lots of copper and zinc.

Well Until Next Time,

Drew Burton
