Traveling, Traveling and Traveling
Over the month of January we have been all over the United States, but in a organized manner of course. One thing I say often is, “we want to be wise steward of God’s resources”. When we think that God’s people work hard all day and then sacrifice by giving to us as we work our way towards planting churches in those Remote Villages of Papua New Guinea we are humbled and respectful as we look for ways to save their money given.
What a blessing to start the month in Wisconsin where it got at one point to -4 degrees WOW! The people were so good to us and we learned a new game called Settlers of Catan while there. This game was some much fun that we would often stay up to 2:00am to keep playing. When I did not stay up late playing games , I was up late with the Pastor fellowshipping and learning from him.
We left Wisconsin and made our way to Ohio where we would spend the week with Uncle Joe and Aunt Lisa. We knew why we were there Beth would get baptized and so on January 8th in a pool at a hotel my little girl followed God’s example and was publicly baptized.
We left Ohio just before the snow storms came and made a 24 hour trip to Texas where we had several meetings and are currently staying for a few weeks visiting churches. While here I go to hear one of my hero’s of the faith Danny Farley preach and that was God ordained. The church we are at is having a revival and the speaker they had, needed to fly home on emergency, so the pastor asked Pastor Farley if he could preach and I get the blessing.
Lastly we traveled to Alabama stopping along the way at Gulfport, Mississippi where we would get to church a box. See we have churches we have always wanted to be at and this church was one of them, we stopped by they allowed us to put up our display and then we got to go and eat with the Pastor and the church. This was a absolute blessing and a BIG check in a box for our family.
The church in Alabama was the perfect last stop of the month we were at their missions conference and the people were so warm and friendly we truly made life long friends here.
We always want to thank you all for your prayers and support, continue to pray as we head back out west at the end of this month.
