Phil 4:16- For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
II Cor 8:5- And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.
Being on a mission field in the middle of the bush brings with it extra expenses. The cost of shipping in petrol, propane, food and many other items that are readily available in modern society can be substantial. There are no general stores in Wipim, no McDonald’s, Wal-Mart or even a corner drug store! All of our supplies must be brought into the capital via plane or barge, and we pay extra to have them shipped into the village. The heavier the item, such as concrete or diesel fuel, the more expensive it is to ship. Even having the basic necessities of food and toiletries shipped in can get expensive.
However, the monetary cost of food and supplies will never be as great as the price of one soul. It is our burden and calling to win the lost, no matter what the cost. Any sacrifice you make to send us to the field of the Western Province of Papua New Guinea is so greatly appreciated and will not go unblessed by God.
